Spring into Spring Looks!

Each spring, Ulta offers a three-week-long sale of 50% off select items for their 21+ Days of Beauty Event. The 50% off sale goes from March 6th to March 26th. And, usefully, they post the products on sale for each day on their website here. They advertise it as an opportunity to “refresh your routine,” and, of course, treat yourself. But let’s be real; 50% off some of your beauty faves is pretty hard to beat, especially if it has a set spot in your routine. I figured I’d share some of the deals that stood out to me and products I love.

I am keeping with my intentional spending goals for 2026, Just putting that out there! But I’m leaning towards growing my pixie out, and, with that, I’m trying to revitalize my curls! And honestly, depending on that, my hair might stay pretty short if my curls decide to be cute. So I definitely was looking at curl products to try. I’m also struggling in the self-manicure space, so there’s that.

Also, please bring me your curl product recommendations.

Not being able to hold a curl shape is my biggest curl obstacle right now, and I’ve never been a huge fan of hairspray to begin with. So I feel like this would be a safe product to try, at a deal price no less.

I own this; I bought it a couple years ago during a Prime Day sale. And I’m telling you, if you ever wanted a foot massager, take this sign. You’re not going to get a better price than 50% off. If I wasn’t unemployed, I’d be buying the Miko foot, leg. & calf massager. I so badly want a calf massager. But this foot massager is pretty great; so I’m confident in the quality. The foot massager also has a heat component. I used this a lot this winter. We had some brutally cold temps, and that flares my CRPS big time. So this was a blessing for relief!

I am a huge fan of the OUAI Clarifying Detox Shampoo. It is my go-to for super sweaty hair, aka you’ll always find it in my gym bag. But I’m happy enough with that to give another product a try. And this would be part of my curl finding journey, especially right now when I’m not sure where my curl pattern is going.

This is a product I already use and love! It is one I would often see in different recommendation lists. So if you’ve been wanting to try it, this might be the time! It keeps my makeup in place and ensures that I’m not sweating it off (and I sweat). If I was still a firefighter, I’d love to know if it can keep makeup from running after a call or training!

Currently, I don’t use a leave-in conditioner. I’m not sure how that affects my hair? But part of the reason why I’d try this brand is because I know several hairdressers who sing its praises! I’ve used, both in the salon and out, other amika products and have been happy with the results. With the spring comes humidity, so an extra touch to help control frizz would be great. I also think this would be a product that could last for a while.

I’m really having a love-hate relationship with doing my nails, and a strong love-hate with fake nails. I love how they look, I hate how easily they can come off and what they can do to my nails, and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. But I do love OPI, and that sometimes includes their press-on nails. The price half off might be enough to get me to try again because maybe this time would be different.

Life kind of priced me out of using Clinique on a regular basis, but I was really happy with their dramatically different moisturizers when I did use it. A little bit goes a long way. Although I feel like my skincare routine is in a good spot, this would definitely be a tempting splurge!

The brushes and blender are being grouped together because probably none of us replace our makeup brushes as often as we should. I actually just replaced some of mine a couple of months ago, and it was overdue.

Morphe is my go-to eyeshadow brand. Specifically, I use the Morphe 35XO Makeup Palette - Natural Flirt Artistry Palette with zero complaints. If I can’t replace it when I need to, I’ll be sad. I have brown eyes and a neutral undertone, and with these shades, I can put together some great versatile looks. But it is a very warm palette, and I feel like adding some cooler colors could create great looks. So this Moon Stone palette would give me that little bit extra. And I kind of like that its only 12 palettes. 35 can be a lot. Sometimes, less is more. I love how easily Morphe applies and blends.

I still have a lot to learn when it comes to applying makeup, especially anything that involves face makeup…which is actually a lot. I need all the help I can get. And I love Smashbox. I’ve only used their primer and lip colors, but I’m confident in this as well!

I bought the Warm Sugar perfume a few months ago, and I love to add it to my routine. Just a little bit extra. I’d probably buy a different scent next time because I use Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 59 Hair & Body Perfume Mist, which combines vanilla orchird, sugared violet, and sheer sandalwood, and eos Vanilla Cashmere Body Mist, which, YES, that eos Vanilla Cashmere scent! (I’m obsessed). But Kitsch has eight different scent options, and pretty much all of them could layer with at least one Sol de Janeiro and eos scent product, if you’re a fan of their brands. (I really can’t speak to other perfumes)

I keep seeing the Manucurist everywhere, and I’ve wondered if it is as good as it claims, especially for its price point! This would be a budget-safe way to try it out.

Dear reader, I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to my curls, okay? We’re trying things out.

So I kind of already covered liking the Sol de Janeiro perfumes, but this one is the original. And it’s definitely the type of scent that evokes sunshine!

March 18, 2026

This is the primer I mentioned before. I’ve used it for years, and I can’t imagine using something else. It glides on the skin so smoothly and does have a blurring effect. It is a great base for my makeup. I may not know what I’m doing when it comes to applying my foundation and blush and whatnot, but between this primer and the setting spray, it at least looks it was applied confidently.

I don’t know why, but doing my eyebrows makes me feel put together. Even if I just brush them. I don’t even use a lot of makeup on my eyebrows. Again, less is more. But I do love Benefit Cosmetics’ 24-HR Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel with Lamination Effect. You don’t need to use a ton to get results. I would be inclined to try their eyebrow pencil because of the brow gel.

This is just a small look into Ulta’s 21 Day Sale. Be sure to check it out! And if you have any advice for me on curly hair or applying face makeup, I’d love it if you reached out.
